Where: Churchill, Manitoba. (Yes, there it is, just tucked behind the church).
This one room museum is crammed with objects – so many that it took me several visits to feel like I’d even made a dent in seeing them all. There are so many things to see and so many stories to uncover. Best of all, what is there is so interesting – ranging from caribou antler snow-goggles to ivory planes flying above ivory crib boards all the way up to a large stuffed musk-ox. Let my piteously poor photographs bear testament to how much being in this place makes you really just want to soak up your surroundings.
Don’t miss: The most dangerous museum gift shop I have ever visited. Absolutely impossible to go in without buying a book, this was the reason my suitcase ended up weighing the same as I did.
